How long does it take to get my certification?

Certification times vary and we highly encourage you to pace out your learning to avoid injury, burnout, and allow yourself the opportunity to gain experience both in and out of the water with our premier dive staff. The minimum time to complete the course is 3 weeks although we recommend asking about our Divemaster internship program to get the most experience possible, before embarking on your professional career.

Are there other costs I need to consider?

Expenses not covered by your course fees include the fee to process your PADI Divemaster certification which is $230 as of July 2024. Once you have completed the course requirements, this fee is paid directly to PADI. PADI also requires an annual fee to retain your professional status. These costs vary depending on your professional level and we recommend checking current prices on padi.com.

Do you have a Divemaster Internship Program?

Yes! Our internship program is considered one of the best introductions to the world of professional SCUBA diving on Kauai. We offer a flexible training schedule, mentorship under our esteemed IDC Staff Instructors, provides SCUBA adjacent training such as logistics, compressor operations, shop operations, advanced boat skills, and much more.
