The Class, Explained.

Dive into the heart of adventure with our PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course. This thrilling two-day program is designed to elevate your diving prowess. Expect to emerge from this course with newfound confidence, mastery over buoyancy, and the ability to explore more diverse underwater realms. The Advanced Open Water Diver certification opens doors to the best diving opportunities, granting you access to depths of up to 30 meters (100 feet) and a world of exciting dive sites.

How old do I need to be for this course?

Minimum of 15 years old, although 12+ may be able to complete the Junior Advanced open water with some accommodations.

What elective (3) specialties do you recommend?

Seasport Divers Recommended Adventure Dives are Peak Performance Buoyancy (most important), Boat Diver, Drift Diver, Fish Identification, Underwater Naturalist and Search and Recovery.

What specialties are mandatory?

Each Advanced open water course requires the Navigation and Deep Adventure dives. You can pick the remaining 3 adventure dives based on your interests and the instructor's advice (Note. Not all adventure dives may be offered due to what is available on Kauai or the current conditions)

The Class Process at Seasport Divers

The Class Process

Registration and Knowledge Development

First, you'll need to register for the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course with Seasport Divers. Our helpful team will assist you in the enrollment process and ensure you have all the necessary details. Once you're registered, you'll gain access to the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver online learning materials. If you haven't acquired them already, Seasport Divers will provide them to you. These online materials are tailored to prepare you for the exciting adventure ahead. During the online learning, you'll engage with various modules that focus on the specifics of your chosen adventure dives, enhancing your knowledge and skills. These modules cover essential topics related to advanced scuba diving, deep diving, navigation, and more. They're designed to equip you with the expertise needed to excel in the underwater world.

Dive Dive Dive!

Each Advanced open water course requires the Navigation and Deep Adventure dives. You can pick the remaining 3 adventure dives based on your interests and the instructor's advice

Once You arrive on Kauai. Your first day of class will consist of your first 3 adventure dives done at the amazing Koloa Landing. Look out for Honu and Eels as you complete your navigation skills and more. The second day will be off one of our amazing dive boats exploring the best dive sites along the south side of Kauai while completing your Deep Adventure dive and 1 more dive to finish up your Advanced Certification. Each day will start and end at the Seasport Divers Shop where you can browse the latest dive equipment and technology to add to your scuba equipment arsenal.
